Genre

Angst
Feelings of dread, anxiety or anguish. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, but here, have a cookie to make it all better.

Dark
A story involving a large amount of pain/trauma being inflicted on the characters, often to force out characterization. Issues such as suicide, drugs, (sexual) abuse.

Drabble
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. 

Drama
Sad things happen. Very sad things. Probably not a happy ending.

Friendship
The characters are just friends. Hints of future romance are allowed, though.

Humor
Funny stuff. Lighthearted and fuss-free.

Longfic
Stories with lots of chapters, more complex plots; you really need to take some time to read this.

Shipperfic
A term I use to label stories that contain pretty much all genres.

Smut
A story that contains at least one explicit sex scene but still has a plot.

UST
Short for ‘Unresolved Sexual Tension’. A term for perceived chemistry between characters who are not romantically involved (yet), and/or are prevented from pursuing the possibility by circumstances. In short: things heat up.
