Genre

Angst
Feelings of dread, anxiety or anguish. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, but here, have a cookie to make it all better.

Dark
A story involving a large amount of pain/trauma being inflicted on the characters, often to force out characterization. Issues such as suicide, drugs, (sexual) abuse.

Drama
Sad things happen. Very sad things. Probably over and over again. We’re talking about suffering to the max.

Foof
Harmless, happy, light-hearted stories. Love and bonding between characters.

Friendship
The characters are just friends. (Hints of future romance are allowed, though.)

Humor
Funny stuff. Fics that make you go ‘LOL’.

PWP
Short for ‘Plot? What plot?’ A story which was written purely for the sake of creating pointless sexual escapades. The characters are having a good time and so should you.

Romance
The characters are already together and mushy things happen.

Shipperfic
A term for fans who want to see a certain pair of characters hook up – in this case: Logan and Marie – and none of the other genres fit all on its own.

Songfic
Fiction set to the lyrics of a particular song.

UST
Short for ‘Unresolved Sexual Tension’. A term for perceived “chemistry” between characters who are not romantically involved (yet), and/or are prevented from pursuing the possibility by circumstances. In short: things heat up.
